Intercooling is important when the engine is running with our Max-E-Tork computer programming and Turbo-Master boost controller. Boost pressures are higher than stock and intercooling to lower this intake air temperature is a great way to recapture power lost to higher intake air temps. The typical gain is 25-30 hp. Intercooling plays a much less important role on "stock" engines as the boost pressure and consequent intake air temperature are not terribly high to begin with.
