The innovative Balance-Flow system is designed to correct the poor distribution of coolant through the block and heads, a problem inherent to the 6.5. In its factory form, the 6.5's coolant flow is unequal which causes unusually high operating temperatures in the rear portions of the block and central portions of the heads. The Balance-Flow system equalizes coolant flow through the block and heads to eliminate localized hot-spots and the heat-stress induced cracking and failure of the block and heads. The Balance-Flow system is complete with everything needed to complete the installation. The system routes coolant from the two rear water ports to a specially configured, flow balancing tank mounted on the driver's side of the intake manifold. Coolant is then routed from the balancing tank forward to a special hose fiting installed in the coolant crossover manifold. The Balance-Flow system features high grade, polished stainless steel components and first quality, silicone hoses with permanent, band type clamps. The system is fully assembled and complete with a coolant crossover manifold, modified with our coolant return fitting.
